This is a 12-month contract position ideal for physically fit individuals who are eager to gain experience in the agricultural processing and consumer goods industries.

About VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd
VKB Milling is the agri-processing division of VKB Group. It operates several white maize and wheat mills across South Africa, including facilities in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, the Free State, and the Northern Cape. The Frankfort facility in the Free State includes a modern wheat mill and bakery, supplying quality flour and baked goods to South African markets.
Position Overview: Packer
As a Packer, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all processed goods are properly packed, palletised, and stored according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This position plays a key role in quality control, hygiene, and efficiency on the production floor. You must be able to perform manual labour, work night shifts, and maintain excellent physical health.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification
- Physically fit and able to perform hard manual labour
- Able to read and understand English
- Experience with stock control and packaging is an advantage
- Willing to work night shifts and 6-day weeks (Monday to Saturday)
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the correct packaging materials are used for all graded products
- Prevent mixing of milled product batches
- Bag, package, label, and palletise products accurately according to SOPs
- Store finished goods safely and neatly in designated areas
- Perform daily cleaning duties and maintain general tidiness
- Adhere to Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations at all times
- Participate in ongoing quality control during packing
