About VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd
VKB Milling operates maize and wheat mills in key agricultural hubs, including Christiana (North West), Mokopane, Frankfort, Mashishing, Modderrivier, and Louis Trichardt. The division provides quality processed grains and baked goods to consumers while supporting local farmers with reliable market channels.
Position Overview
As a General Worker, you’ll carry out routine tasks that help ensure a clean, safe, and productive milling environment. This role is physical and practical, requiring basic labour, cleaning duties, stock handling, and customer interaction when required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
- Able to perform hard manual labour
- Basic reading and comprehension in English
- Painting experience is advantageous
- Must be willing to work nightshifts and 6 days per week (Monday–Saturday)
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain general tidiness across the premises
- Execute cleaning duties as directed
- Assist with loading and offloading of stock for customers and suppliers
- Support stock control activities
- Perform basic painting and maintenance tasks
- Ensure the premises and work areas are neat, safe, and compliant
- Follow all instructions and safety protocols
- Contribute to a cooperative team environment

- Physical fitness and stamina – able to handle heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Attention to detail – especially with tidiness, stock handling, and safety
- Time management – punctual and able to meet deadlines

- Excellent health – essential due to the physical nature of the work
