Job Overview and Core Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Operator & Driver, you will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations through a combination of inventory handling and delivery duties. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely material availability across local, cross-border, and front-end unit sites.
1. Inventory Handling and Storekeeping
- Receive, store, and issue engineering spare parts
- Offload materials from delivery vehicles
- Pick and assemble items according to reservations and pick lists
- Maintain good housekeeping standards within the warehouse
- Operate forklifts where required to move stock efficiently
2. Delivery and Collection Responsibilities
- Transport spare parts to various sites and magazines
- Handle local and cross-border deliveries in compliance with safety standards
- Ensure that deliveries are complete and accurate
- Collect spare parts from suppliers or other sites as needed
3. Equipment and Safety Compliance
- Conduct pre-checks and report faulty equipment to the Team Leader
- Ensure tools, consumables, and machinery are always in working condition
- Adhere to all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) protocols
- Assist warehouse team members in maintaining smooth daily operations

Minimum Requirements
This position is suitable for experienced warehouse professionals who also have professional driving qualifications. Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence – essential
- At least 3 years of experience in storekeeping or materials handling
- Ability to operate a forklift where needed
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Comfortable with basic mathematical calculations
