Role Overview
PathCare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Depot Clerk/Depot Administrator to join its dynamic team at the Kathu branch in the Northern Cape. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a frontline, client-facing environment and has a strong administrative skill set. You will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of daily depot tasks, including patient reception, data entry, account management, and client liaison. Your contribution will directly impact the efficiency of healthcare delivery and the experience of our clients and patients.
Key Responsibilities

Perform frontline reception duties, welcoming and assisting patients with professionalism and care

Check, verify, and capture patient information into the laboratory system

Handle account payments and queries efficiently and accurately

Manage banking tasks and ensure proper documentation

Support daily depot functions to ensure an organised and responsive healthcare environment
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
-
Completion and passing of the Depot Administrator Examination
-
Computer literacy with typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
-
Prior experience in a medical, pathology, or laboratory setting is advantageous
-
Proven experience in client service, reception, or front office environments
-
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail
-
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
-
Must be fluent in English (understanding Afrikaans is a plus)

A positive, adaptable work style and willingness to work both independently and within a team

A clean professional performance record (technical and behavioural)
