Role Overview
As a Data Input Clerk at Ampath, you will support the Pre-Lab department by ensuring accurate data capture, filing, documentation, and record-keeping. You’ll work behind the scenes, but your impact is highly visible in the speed and accuracy with which administrative and reporting processes are completed.

Key Responsibilities

Accurate data entry of laboratory and patient-related information into relevant systems

Checking and validating information for completeness and correctness

Capturing and tracking laboratory request forms

Filing and retrieving documents as needed for reporting or audit purposes

Coordinating with the laboratory team to ensure proper specimen tracking

Maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient and operational data

Supporting documentation processes for logistics, patient billing, or compliance

Performing routine administrative tasks such as printing reports and maintaining digital records

Assisting with front-office or back-office duties when required
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate is essential

No previous experience required (training will be provided)

Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans for communication and documentation purposes

Strong numerical reasoning and comfort working with data

Computer literacy including familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic database platforms
