With a strong presence across the country, the company is now hiring 24 Hygiene Operators to join its team in Airport Industria, Cape Town.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Hygiene Operator role is essential in helping maintain a food-safe environment at client sites. Each operator will be responsible for executing the Ecowize 10-Step Cleaning Process in line with strict food safety and hygiene standards. Candidates will be expected to participate in both Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Deep Cleaning procedures, work night shifts, and adapt quickly to the demands of different cleaning sites.
This is a fast-paced, physically demanding position suitable for hardworking individuals who understand the importance of hygiene in food production environments and are committed to excellence and reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform daily cleaning duties using the 10-Step Cleaning Process

Maintain a safe, hygienic, and compliant workplace

Execute Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Deep Clean protocols

Ensure cleaning tasks meet customer expectations and audit requirements

Manage cleaning schedules and complete tasks on time

Monitor and handle chemical usage and inventory with care and accuracy

Remain flexible to move between different cleaning sites as required on short notice

Comply with Ecowize and client hygiene standards

Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors

Uphold professionalism and integrity in all interactions
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of Grade 10 (proof of qualification required)

Deep cleaning experience in food production or similar environments – essential

Experience in night shift work – required

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations

Chemical stock control knowledge – essential

Ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions and complete documentation

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and travel to various job sites as needed
