ABOUT THE ROLE
Fidelity Services Group is currently hiring a Fleet Assistant for its East Rand operations based in Benoni. Reporting directly to the Fleet Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Fleet Department. This includes managing documentation, coordinating vehicle maintenance, and supporting the efficient operation of the branch fleet.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented administrator with a solid foundation in logistics or fleet operations, who can work under pressure and take initiative while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate or NQF Level 4 equivalent

Minimum of 2 years’ administrative experience
-
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Clear criminal record
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Previous experience in fleet administration is advantageous

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
-
Willingness to work extended hours when required
-
Ability to work independently and responsibly
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Maintain a filing system and handle document archiving in accordance with internal policies
-
Provide daily administrative support to both the Fleet Manager and Branch Manager
-
Compile and manage daily, weekly, and monthly fleet reports
-
Coordinate Capex and Asset requirements, including asset tracking and maintenance scheduling

Assist in the control, maintenance, and operation of company vehicles across the branch
-
Oversee accident investigations, compile incident documentation, and submit reports to Head Office on time

Obtain quotes, issue purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers for vehicle-related services

Ensure invoices are correctly processed and forwarded to Head Office with required approvals

Follow up on payment processing with the Creditors department

Handle general administrative tasks and respond to internal office enquiries as needed
