Role Overview

Lesaka Technologies is looking for a dedicated Sales & Service Consultant to join their dynamic team in King William’s Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers, educating them on products and services, driving digital adoption, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about financial inclusion and customer engagement.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Identify and address customer needs effectively

  • Perform necessary regulatory checks (FICA, POPI, NCR) to ensure compliance

  • Assist customers with account servicing and product origination

  • Handle client queries, card issuance, and account activation

  • Escalate complex matters to the team leader

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Meet agreed sales targets through successful product sales

  • Retain customers through exceptional service and query resolution

  • Educate customers on digital channels to promote self-service

  • Drive digital migration and account activation during onboarding

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Adhere to FAIS guidelines and all compliance standards

  • Operate within regulatory, operational, and risk parameters

  • Escalate concerns and potential risks where necessary

  • Ensure adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Work as part of a team to achieve shared goals

  • Support and learn from senior team members

  • Participate in training and development initiatives

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and client experience

Process Improvement

  • Provide feedback on systems, processes, and client interactions

  • Assist in enhancing customer experience through process optimization

  • Support overall operational efficiency


Key Performance Indicators

  • Achievement of sales and activation targets

  • Service quality, including compliments and complaint resolution

  • Compliance with regulatory and operational requirements

  • Minimization of operational losses and customer attrition


Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • NQF 4 Qualification

  • Regulatory Exam qualification (FAIS requirement)

  • Microsoft Office computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant NQF 5 qualification as prescribed by the Financial Services Board

  • Recognized Business Diploma or Higher Certificate at NQF Level 6

Experience

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in sales or client service

  • Financial services experience advantageous

  • FAIS compliance essential
