Role Overview
Brights Hardware in Brackenfell is currently looking for a skilled and customer-focused Sales Person to join their Paint Department. The successful candidate will assist customers in selecting the most suitable paint products for their needs while delivering exceptional customer service that drives sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Assist customers in a professional, helpful, and friendly manner

Provide expert product advice to help customers choose the best paint and related products for their projects

Generate sales and promote customer satisfaction through excellent service

Ensure accurate stock control, conduct regular stock counts, and manage stock levels effectively

Place stock orders with buyers when necessary to ensure product availability

Attend to administrative duties, including maintaining customer books, managing special orders, and forwarding invoices

Ensure effective merchandising standards, with products displayed neatly and priced accurately
-
Participate in perpetual stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy
-
Maintain high housekeeping standards in the work area
-
Perform any work-related tasks delegated by your superior
Requirements
-
Matric certificate or x3 completed Intercept courses equating to a total of 120 credits

At least 3 years of sales experience, preferably within the hardware retail environment
-
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, with a focus on paint products
-
Brights Induction (Service Excellence) completion

Possession of at least 5 basic technical supplier competency certificates
-
Intermediate level merchandising standards knowledge

Familiarity with in-house return per square meter standards

Customer Service Training
-
Demonstrated acceptable sales techniques and practices

Intermediate product knowledge, particularly within the paint and coatings sector

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Passion for customer service and delivering an outstanding customer experience
