Role Overview
Brights Hardware is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable End Controller to join the Building Department at their Stonewood branch. The main purpose of this role is to ensure service standards are met by accurately checking invoices and verifying that items purchased correspond with customer receipts, transfers, and delivery notes. This critical function directly contributes to the prevention of stock losses and the maintenance of high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately reconcile invoices and cash slips by counting and measuring items to ensure they match the goods purchased
Reconcile transfer slips by counting and measuring goods to ensure accuracy
Reconcile delivery notes with physical goods received or dispatched
Maintain and update the error report book for record-keeping and corrective action
Report any discrepancies to management promptly for resolution
Participate in regular and perpetual stocktakes to ensure accurate stock levels
Ensure the housekeeping of the work area is maintained to company standards at all times
Perform any additional work-related tasks delegated by a superior
Requirements
Matric certificate or three completed Intercept courses (totaling 120 credits)
Grade C Security certification
At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a retail or hardware environment
Completion of Brights Hardware Induction (Service Excellence training)
Strong understanding of internal company procedures
High level of responsibility, diligence, and ability to perform under pressure
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good product knowledge and understanding of department operations
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach to work
