Role Overview

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will take full responsibility for controlling warehouse operations, stock management, distribution, receiving, and administrative functions. You will play a crucial role in driving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Control

Supervise receiving, picking, packing, and distribution processes
Ensure daily operations meet departmental objectives and targets
Maintain cost-effective warehouse practices
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements
Collaborate with sales teams to ensure seamless order scheduling and customer satisfaction
Inspect stacking and storage practices to comply with General Safety Regulations
Assist with driving responsibilities if a valid license is held

Stock Control

Maintain accurate stock records and reconcile with SAGE system
Oversee stock takes and investigate discrepancies
Ensure neat, damage-free stock packaging and storage
Control and minimize scrap in line with company and environmental policies
Efficiently set up and manage warehouse layout for optimal space utilization

Distribution Control

Manage logistics to ensure timely dispatch of orders
Coordinate with freight forwarders and couriers
Optimize delivery routes to reduce costs and delivery times
Ensure delivery accuracy as per invoices and dispatch procedures
Oversee inter-branch transfers (IBTRs)

Receiving Control

Oversee accurate, quality-checked receipt of all stock deliveries
Ensure stock from containers meets company quality standards
Supervise proper binning and packaging of all incoming stock

Administration & Reporting

Produce essential operational reports including:
- Stock variance reports
- Vehicle and equipment maintenance reports
- Stock shortage and valuation reports
- Overtime reports (if required)
Manage PPE procurement for warehouse staff
Handle all warehouse administrative tasks as required

SHEQ & Compliance

Enforce compliance with OHS Act and company health and safety standards
Conduct incident reporting and ensure a safe working environment
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene in the warehouse

Qualifications and Experience Required

Grade 12 with 1-2 relevant short course certifications
2+ years’ experience in a similar supervisory role
5+ years’ experience in warehouse or operations environments
Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and SAGE Evolution (or similar)
Understanding of ISO standards (9001, 45001, 50001, 14001)
Previous experience with aluminium profiles, systems, or accessories is advantageous
