Role Overview
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a diverse vehicle fleet including trucks, LDVs, and mobile equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background working on Isuzu trucks and LDVs, excellent fault-finding skills, and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities

Perform service and maintenance of the company’s vehicle fleet (trucks, LDVs, mobile equipment)

Attend to roadside assistance and vehicle breakdowns when required

Carry out minor auto-electrical repairs and diagnostics

Complete job cards accurately and submit them timeously

Maintain accurate administrative functions related to vehicle repairs and servicing

Conduct accident and incident investigations related to vehicle breakdowns or malfunctions

Be available for standby duties and weekend work as required

Uphold safety standards in the workshop and on site at all times

Engage in preventative maintenance and proactive fault detection

Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience Required
-
Qualified Diesel Mechanic (N3 Certificate and Trade Test Certificate)

Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience working with Isuzu trucks and Isuzu LDVs
-
Auto-electrical experience is highly advantageous

Valid Code C1 driver’s license with a valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)

Must have own tools and be equipped to work independently
