Role Overview
Hollywoodbets is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Betting Clerk to join the team at their Vasco branch in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities
Branch Growth & Betting Operations

Update betting boards and memos timeously throughout the day

Stay informed on all betting rules, odds, pay-outs, and procedures

Handle large bets according to company limits and escalate when required

Proactively assist in driving branch performance and customer engagement
Sales Administration & Cash Management

Manage branch cash processes, including float preparation and daily balancing

Perform interim cash checks with team leaders during shifts
-
Address cash shortages or overs immediately and accurately record all transactions

Stay alert to emerging fraud or theft attempts
Customer Service Excellence

Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service at all times

Handle customer complaints proactively, ensuring positive outcomes

Build strong relationships with regular customers

Uphold a “service with a smile” culture within the branch
Branch Appearance & Compliance

Maintain a neat, tidy, and fully functional branch at all times

Comply with all operational and safety procedures to prevent losses

Report equipment malfunctions promptly

Adhere to all company compliance requirements, including betting rules, ethical conduct, and dress code
Qualifications and Experience Required

Matric (Grade 12)

Previous experience in the gaming or betting industry is advantageous (1-2 years preferred)

A valid driver’s license is a bonus

Strong computer literacy and numerical skills

Excellent customer service and communication abilities
