Role Overview
Hollywoodbets is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Bartender to join our team at the Park branch in Durban. This is your opportunity to grow within the hospitality industry in South Africa, working for one of the most recognised names in the gambling and casino space.

Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations & Stock Management

Prepare and serve drinks and snacks to customers or via waitrons

Ensure the bar area is clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times

Requisition stock as needed, considering high-demand items and busy periods
-
Rotate stock and manage fridges to ensure product freshness
-
Conduct daily stock counts and report discrepancies or wastage
-
Follow all procedures for personal food and beverage purchases
-
Maintain accurate records of breakages and losses
Customer Service Excellence

Greet customers warmly and maintain a positive, proactive attitude
-
Present menus, answer product queries, and promote daily specials
-
Take and process beverage or food orders timeously using the POS system (GAAP)

Serve customers efficiently and address concerns promptly
-
Uphold the company’s “service with a smile” philosophy at all times

Ensure all age-verification requirements are followed when serving alcohol
Cash Handling & Compliance

Handle customer payments by cash or card accurately
-
Reconcile sales, payments, and cash floats at the end of the shift

Report and resolve cash discrepancies immediately
-
Ensure voids and adjustments are authorised by the F&B Supervisor
-
Comply with all internal control policies and hospitality industry standards
Branch Appearance & Hygiene

Ensure service areas are neat, clean, and fully prepared before and after service

Adhere to all hygiene and safety standards
-
Maintain the highest standards of personal appearance and uniform requirements
Qualifications and Experience Required
-
Experience in the hospitality or service industry is essential

Previous experience with POS systems (GAAP) is advantageous
-
Stock management experience is a bonus
-
Matric (Grade 12) preferred
-
Strong customer service skills and excellent attention to detail
