The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) is a public entity under the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) responsible for company registration, compliance monitoring, and promoting good corporate governance in South Africa. CIPC is also committed to supporting youth development and skills transfer through its Graduate Internship Programmes. This Internal Audit internship is designed to offer aspiring audit professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience within a highly respected public sector organisation.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Graduate Internship Programme for Internal Audit offers unemployed graduates the opportunity to gain structured, practical experience in internal auditing processes. Over the course of 24 months, successful candidates will be exposed to all aspects of the internal audit function, including risk assessment, compliance monitoring, governance evaluations, and audit reporting.

Based at the CIPC Sunnyside Office in Pretoria, this internship provides the ideal platform for graduates to build professional competencies essential for a career in internal auditing or information systems auditing within the public or private sectors.

WHAT IS AN INTERNSHIP?
An internship, as defined by the South African Cabinet in December 2002, is a structured work experience programme for unemployed graduates. It provides workplace exposure, skill development, and practical knowledge that enhances a graduate’s ability to secure permanent employment.

The CIPC Internship Programme targets:

Selected candidates will be required to sign a Graduate Internship Programme Agreement and commit to the full 24-month internship period.

REMUNERATION
Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R12,000.00, offering financial support throughout the internship duration.
