ROLE OVERVIEW
The Graduate Internship Programme for Corporate Governance and Surveillance is designed to provide unemployed graduates with professional work experience in a structured, supportive environment. The internship will run for a period of 24 months, during which interns will be placed at the CIPC Sunnyside Office in Pretoria.

The successful candidates will be involved in activities related to corporate governance, surveillance, legal compliance, and regulatory functions within CIPC. This hands-on experience will enhance your practical skills and prepare you for future employment opportunities within the legal and governance sectors.

WHAT IS AN INTERNSHIP?
An internship, as defined by the South African Cabinet in December 2002, is a public service graduate work experience programme. It is designed to provide unemployed graduates with exposure to a professional working environment, helping them apply the theoretical knowledge gained during their studies and develop the necessary workplace competencies.

This internship is targeted at:

  • Unemployed South African graduates who have completed their LLB Degrees (NQF Level 8)

  • Graduates who have not yet been exposed to formal work experience

  • Graduates who have never participated in any Internship Programme

  • South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 years

Successful candidates will be required to sign a Graduate Internship Programme Agreement and must be willing to commit to the full 24-month duration.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualification: LLB Degree (NQF Level 8)

  • South African citizenship

  • Age between 18 to 35 years

  • No prior participation in any internship or formal work experience

  • Strong academic record and interest in corporate governance and legal compliance

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Qualification and citizenship verification checks will be conducted on successful candidates

  • Applicants with foreign qualifications must ensure their qualifications are evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA)

  • Candidates should be available for selection interviews on dates determined by CIPC

REMUNERATION
