As part of its commitment to youth development and building future leaders in governance, law, and compliance, the CIPC invites applications for its Graduate Internship Programme in Corporate Disclosure and Compliance, based in Pretoria.
WHAT IS THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME?
The Graduate Internship Programme is designed to provide unemployed South African graduates with practical workplace experience to complement their academic studies. The initiative aligns with the Public Service’s commitment to developing young talent and creating pathways to long-term employment.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
This opportunity targets:
✔️ South African graduates who have completed relevant higher education qualifications
✔️ Graduates who are unemployed and have not yet been exposed to workplace experience
✔️ Individuals between the ages of 18 and 35
✔️ Graduates who have not previously participated in an internship within the public sector
Successful candidates will gain valuable hands-on experience within the CIPC’s Corporate Disclosure and Compliance function, contributing to regulatory governance and disclosure initiatives while developing their skills in a professional setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Interns will:

Assist in regulatory compliance and disclosure-related projects

Support governance initiatives within the department

Gain exposure to compliance management processes

Participate in workplace learning aligned to their qualifications

Build professional networks within a regulatory and legal environment

Work closely with experienced professionals on real-world assignments
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this prestigious internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7 or 8) in one of the following fields:

Law
-
Accounting, with a specialisation in Compliance Management or Regulatory Governance and Disclosures

Be a South African citizen

Be unemployed
-
Have no prior work experience or previous participation in an internship programme
Important: Applicants with foreign qualifications must have them evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
