Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following academic criteria:

Grade 12 (Matric)

Currently studying towards a National Diploma in Biotechnology, Food Technology, or Analytical Chemistry (Final year)

Possession of a tertiary institution logbook stipulating the required exposure and experience needed for qualification completion

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with Laboratory and Online Quality Control procedures

Reporting food safety and quality deviations promptly

Participating in the receiving and testing of raw materials and packaging

Conducting tests on raw materials, in-process, and final products to ensure they meet required standards

Active participation in INVOCOMS (information and communication meetings)

Supporting the implementation of the food safety culture plan on-site

Capturing data into the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and issuing Certificates of Analysis (COAs)

Accurate record-keeping in your institutional logbook to ensure compliance with Seta and academic requirements

Willingness to participate in any required formal institutional training sessions

Translating theoretical learning into practical, on-site application

Collaborating with the on-site Quality Control team and working closely with the manufacturing teams
