ROLE OVERVIEW
Voltex is seeking a dedicated and responsible Driver Code 10 to join its Bloemfontein branch. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient and timely delivery and collection of stock to customers, maintaining the highest levels of safety and professionalism.
The successful candidate will be expected to conduct vehicle inspections, manage delivery routes, handle stock with care, and provide excellent customer interaction. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is vital to smooth logistics and customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct vehicle inspection sheets daily to ensure the delivery vehicle is roadworthy before journeys

Report any vehicle defects, damages, or accidents promptly to the Branch Manager

Plan and navigate delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules

Load stock accurately according to the log sheet in coordination with the dispatch clerk

Ensure stock loaded corresponds exactly with delivery notes

Obtain signatures from clients and customers as proof of delivery

Submit all delivery administration and reports for accurate record-keeping
-
Maintain effective communication with clients and customers to resolve any delivery-related complaints

Keep the delivery vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times

Record vehicle service dates and notify the Operations Manager when maintenance is due

Report any delivery issues or problems to the Branch Manager promptly

Adhere strictly to all safety and security regulations while operating the vehicle

Represent Voltex professionally in all customer interactions
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Matric / Grade 12 certificate is mandatory

Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence is essential

Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is required

Minimum of 3 years driving experience with heavy vehicles

Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning devices

Basic knowledge of warehouse processes and stock handling

Understanding of safety standards and use of protective clothing

Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail

Excellent communication and customer service skills
