ROLE OVERVIEW
Voltex (Pty) Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cycle Counter to join their Richards Bay branch. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and is essential in maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring the integrity of inventory records.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily cycle counts, monitoring product movement, identifying discrepancies, and supporting the warehouse team with general duties as required. If you have a keen eye for detail, experience in stock control, and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, this role is ideal for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels

Monitor and control inventory integrity across the warehouse

Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with the Inventory Control Coordinator

Open and unpack containers to physically count items and verify quantities

Report any discrepancies, damaged products, or variances in stock levels

Assist with pulling orders for counter sales and dispatch when required

Support general stores and warehouse operations as needed

Participate in regular stock take exercises to maintain stock accuracy

Ensure adherence to safety standards and the correct use of protective clothing
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Matric / Equivalent qualification is mandatory

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a stores or warehouse environment is advantageous

Recent, hands-on experience with cycle counting and inventory control is essential

Strong knowledge of warehouse processes and product handling

Familiarity with safety protocols and proper use of protective equipment

Good understanding of product identification and stock management procedures

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
