As a Call Center Agent, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking information, technical advice, or after-sales support for our extensive range of power tools, welding machines, compressors, and small engines. Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement
Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and chat enquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Understand customer needs, recommend products, and provide technical guidance where your tools and machinery knowledge allows.
Complaint Resolution
Listen actively to customer concerns, troubleshoot issues in line with company policies, and escalate complex cases to technical teams as required. Maintain calm, empathetic communication to ensure every customer feels heard and valued.
Record Keeping & Reporting
Document customer interactions accurately in the CRM system, capturing essential details for follow-up and continuous improvement. Provide regular feedback to management on common issues, customer trends, and process enhancements.
Sales Support
Upsell and cross-sell products by identifying customer requirements and promoting relevant accessories, consumables, or service plans. Collaborate with the sales team to convert enquiries into sales, contributing to branch targets.
Process Adherence & Improvement
Follow standard operating procedures, service level agreements, and quality guidelines to ensure consistency. Volunteer insights in daily INVOCOM™ meetings, sharing ideas for improving scripts, FAQs, and customer workflows.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Education: Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Experience: Entry-level candidates welcome; retail or call center experience is advantageous.
• Technical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of DIY tools, hardware, or machinery is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent command of English (written and verbal); ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Interpersonal Skills: Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with customers of all backgrounds.
• Attention to Detail: Accurate data entry and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Multitasking: Comfort handling multiple chat windows, emails, and phone calls simultaneously.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new products and processes in a fast-paced environment.
