An exciting leadership opportunity has opened at Tekkie Town for a motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead the team at our Maclear store in the Eastern Cape. We are looking for a dynamic individual passionate about retail, customer service, and achieving outstanding results through effective store management and team development.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) – Essential

• Computer Literacy (MS Office – Word, Outlook, Excel)

• Minimum of 2 years’ management experience in a retail environment

• Fluency in English and at least one other South African official language

• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and selling skills

• Logical thinker with solid analytical and decision-making abilities

• High energy levels with a performance-driven mindset

• Excellent planning, organising, and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a motivated team

• Own transport and valid driver’s licence (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Financial Excellence

• Manage all store operations to ensure branch profitability

• Achieve and exceed monthly turnover and budget targets

• Ensure store administration complies with Standard Operating Procedures

• Maintain stock control to minimise losses below benchmark levels

Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards

• Implement promotions and maintain high standards of visual merchandising

• Monitor stock receiving and unpacking processes, keeping up with trends

• Ensure store presentation and product displays meet customer expectations

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and motivate the store team to achieve performance targets

• Drive succession planning, staff coaching, and development

• Enforce company policies and Standard Operating Procedures

• Foster a positive, customer-focused team culture in line with Tekkie Town values

General Store Management

• Responsible for store opening and closing procedures

• Ensure customer service excellence at all times

• Maintain flexibility, a positive attitude, and high work standards across various circumstances
