Lead Tekkie Town’s Sales Success Across Cape Town
An exciting leadership opportunity is available at Tekkie Town, one of South Africa’s most recognised footwear and fashion retailers under Pepkor Speciality. We are searching for a dynamic Area Sales Manager based in Cape Town, who will be responsible for managing an A-Grid area of approximately 15 stores, driving operational excellence, and achieving business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) – Essential

Valid Driver’s License – Essential

Diploma in Retail, Business, or Marketing Management (Advantageous)

Minimum 5 years of retail experience within a major retail chain, with at least 2 years in a Senior Management role
-
Proven experience managing operations of 15 or more stores
-
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high-performance sales teams
-
Willingness to travel and stay away from home for extended periods
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Team Leadership

Support Store Managers in the efficient day-to-day running of stores
-
Evaluate overall store and individual performance regularly
-
Identify hiring needs and participate in the recruitment and training of new staff

Develop and train existing employees, ensuring succession planning and career development
Sales Growth & Target Achievement
-
Drive sales performance to exceed set targets and budgets across the area
-
Analyse market trends and implement innovative sales techniques to ensure growth

Introduce new services, products, and sales approaches to enhance customer satisfaction
Risk Management & Performance Monitoring
-
Manage operational risks and minimise shrinkage across all stores

Accurately measure, monitor, and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs)

Suggest strategies based on performance data to improve operational efficiency
Customer Experience & Business Growth

Ensure exceptional customer experiences at all store levels

Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and stock management

Contribute to the long-term sustainability and profitability of the area
