The East Rand branch is currently seeking a Workshop Foreman to supervise and coordinate workshop activities, ensuring optimal repair and maintenance of equipment.

Role Overview

As Workshop Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all workshop operations, supporting technicians, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring client satisfaction through quality service delivery. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and technical expertise to manage workflow efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the repair and maintenance of agricultural and industrial equipment to ensure timely and quality service
Assist technicians with technical tasks and workshop operations
Maintain discipline within the workshop and promptly resolve operational issues
Enforce strict adherence to health and safety legislation, ensuring all protective equipment is used correctly
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by addressing queries and resolving concerns professionally
Keep all work areas clean and organized after task completion

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 (Matric) is mandatory
Qualified mechanisation technician or equivalent relevant experience
Valid driver’s license is required
Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience in a workshop or similar environment

Technical Skills and Competencies

Thorough understanding of workshop processes and equipment maintenance
Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively
