Role Overview
We are currently recruiting a Sales Representative: New Vehicles (Omoda/Jaecoo) for our branch in Rustenburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for effectively promoting and selling new vehicles, developing a robust customer base, and ensuring a consistent achievement of sales targets. This role demands a self-driven, customer-focused individual with a proven track record in the automotive sales environment.
Your main responsibilities will involve prospecting for potential clients, managing relationships, closing deals, and executing strategic promotional activities. Success in this position depends on your ability to understand the competitive motor industry, deliver high service standards, and drive new vehicle sales volume while complying with the brand and dealership standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and client referrals
Meet and exceed monthly vehicle sales targets and gross profit goals
Engage with potential buyers, conduct product presentations, and close vehicle sales
Manage the full sales process from initial client contact to final delivery and handover
Ensure customer satisfaction and manage relationships through proactive follow-ups
Participate in promotional campaigns, in-store marketing, and new vehicle launches
Conduct competitive analysis and remain updated with industry trends
Utilize CRM tools and systems to maintain accurate customer and sales records
Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth vehicle delivery and after-sales service
Qualifications and Experience
Matric / Grade 12 (minimum education requirement)
Valid South African driver’s license (compulsory)
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Sales Executive in the motor industry
New vehicle sales experience is essential
Volume sales background and ability to perform in high-pressure environments
Experience with premium brands and multi-brand selling is highly advantageous
Computer literacy and experience with dealership management systems
Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills
Knowledge of retail compliance regulations and motor industry policies
Mercedes-Benz or similar premium vehicle experience would be a strong advantage
