Role Overview: Receptionist
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring every visitor experiences a friendly and efficient welcome. You will handle all reception procedures including accurate registration, reservations, check-ins, and check-outs, while supporting the Front Office management team.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 1 year Reception experience in a hotel or hospitality environment

Tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Tourism Management (desirable)

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Extensive knowledge and experience using Opera Property Management System
-
Bilingual communication skills are an advantage

Strong organisational, motivational, and accountability skills

Impeccable verbal and written communication skills

Professional appearance, grooming, and body language at all times
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Reception and Service

Greet guests politely and professionally to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere

Assist guests with the check-in and check-out process efficiently and accurately

Ensure guest registration forms are completed correctly, and reservation information is updated

Maintain guest profiles and records, including nationality and payment details

Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
Front Office Operations

Support Front Office Management and supervisors with daily reception procedures

Use the Opera system to manage reservations, transactions, and guest profiles

Maintain tidiness and orderliness of the Front Office area, ensuring all correspondence and registration documents are properly secured

Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures to ensure smooth operation and compliance
Communication and Professionalism

Maintain exceptional grooming, posture, and body language at all times

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills when interacting with guests and colleagues

Collaborate effectively with other departments to enhance guest experience

Provide accurate and clear communication to guests regarding hotel services and facilities
