Programme Overview
The 2026 Future Leaders Development Programme: Chemical Engineering is a 24-month structured initiative aimed at developing high-potential graduates into future industry leaders within Tiger Brands’ manufacturing and operations teams.
This development journey blends academic knowledge with real-world operational experience in areas such as process optimization, product innovation, plant performance, and safety compliance. Candidates will rotate through different departments and manufacturing plants to gain a broad understanding of FMCG production at scale.
Graduates will be assigned to key business units, where they’ll take part in high-impact projects and work alongside experienced engineers, managers, and cross-functional teams. The aim is to prepare participants for long-term success in engineering leadership roles.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for the Chemical Engineering FLDP, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree or BTech in Chemical Engineering from an accredited tertiary institution
South African citizenship and valid work authorization
Recent graduate (completed studies within the last 12 months)
No more than 12 months of full-time work experience in the chemical engineering field (excluding internships or in-service training)
Minimum academic average of 65%
Geographical mobility — willingness to relocate for assignments across South Africa
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Valid South African driver’s license
Demonstrated leadership potential, critical thinking ability, and innovative mindset
