We are currently looking for a Post Basic Qualified Pharmacist Assistant to join our dynamic team at the Thatchfield branch in Centurion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide professional pharmaceutical care and advice to patients and customers

Assist with the sale and distribution of Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 medicines
-
Compound and prepare non-sterile medicines following standard operating procedures

Accurately interpret prescriptions and ensure proper labelling and packaging

Update and maintain patient profiles using the Unisolv system
-
Assist with the ordering and stock control of medications up to Schedule 6
-
Follow proper procedures for the repackaging and merchandising of medication
-
Provide accurate usage instructions for all dispensed medication
-
Ensure customer confidentiality and professional patient engagement at all times

Support stock takes and ensure compliance with FEFO (First Expiry First Out)

Track scripts and follow up on outstanding prescriptions with patients
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-
Grade 12 / Matric certificate
-
Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification
-
Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)

Working experience with Unisolv is essential

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent command of English and a second language
-
Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

High attention to detail and accuracy
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Understanding of FMCG or Retail pharmacy operations
-
Third additional language is an asset

Experience using SAP and E-Scripting

Familiarity with family planning, chronic medication, and complementary medicine
