DeARX Services is actively seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer (OCR/IDP) to lead the development and implementation of next-generation Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) systems using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tools integrated into our AWS-based infrastructure.
This 6-month high-impact contract role is perfect for an individual ready to spearhead innovation, lead a cross-functional engineering team, and elevate document intelligence as a core pillar of our AI-first strategy.
You’ll work with global stakeholders, evaluate and integrate world-class OCR/IDP tools, and lay the foundation for intelligent automation powered by vision models and large language models (LLMs).
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end technical delivery of OCR/IDP integration projects

Architect, design, and implement scalable solutions using AWS cloud services

Evaluate third-party vendor tools and recommend best-fit OCR/IDP solutions

Seamlessly integrate document processing tools with AWS components like Lambda, ECS, EC2, and Step Functions

Extend OCR/IDP capabilities into AI/LLM-powered solutions, enhancing decision-making, summarization, and classification processes

Mentor a team of engineers and ensure code quality through reviews and hands-on development

Translate business goals into intelligent document automation solutions aligned with enterprise strategy
Core Requirements

5–10 years of professional experience in software engineering, including senior or lead roles

Proven expertise in OCR and IDP tools and frameworks
-
Hands-on experience in AWS cloud architecture (EC2, Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, IAM)

Demonstrated leadership in team management, mentoring, or technical decision-making
-
Solid knowledge of modern development methodologies and agile practices

Ability to assess vendor platforms and technologies through structured technical evaluation
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

Experience with AWS Textract, Comprehend, and A2I (Augmented AI)

Familiarity with open-source AI frameworks such as Hugging Face and document-centric LLMs

Exposure to AI-powered summarization, document QA, vision models, and data classification

Previous work on AI document automation pipelines, from extraction to decisioning

Background in building or integrating IDP solutions in highly regulated industries
