ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cashier at BUCO Gansbaai, you will be the face of the company at the point of sale, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently handling cash and payment transactions. This role is vital in ensuring customer satisfaction, security of cash, and operational accuracy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Warmly greet customers and create a positive shopping experience

Accurately ring up purchases and accept payments via cash, card, or electronic methods

Issue correct receipts and maintain cash till security at all times

Balance the till daily and report discrepancies promptly

Assist customers with queries and provide product advice where needed

Maintain good public relations and represent the company’s values

Uphold and promote the company culture and values consistently
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate

Proficiency in English for effective communication

Ability to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays

Friendly, polite, and helpful customer service approach

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems

Previous cashier experience (2-3 years) is advantageous
-
Knowledge of building materials products is a strong advantage
