Job Overview
The hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced Administrative Officer in Supply Chain Management to oversee procurement activities and support financial and asset management systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in public sector supply chain processes and demonstrate leadership in managing procurement functions.
Minimum Requirements

Senior Certificate (Matric) with Mathematics or Accounting as a passed subject

Alternatively, a Senior Certificate with applicable experience in the key performance areas of the post
Experience Needed
-
Proven experience in Supply Chain Management, specifically in procurement
-
Strong background using LOGIS and Integrated Procurement Solutions (ePS) systems
-
Experience in public sector procurement frameworks and compliance regulations
Key Skills and Competencies
-
Practical knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Finance Instructions, and PPPFA (Act 5 of 2000)

Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills
-
Strong team leadership and organizational skills
-
Familiarity with Asset and Inventory Management (including warehousing)

Ability to handle disciplinary processes and apply the Accounting Officer System
-
Capability to manage procurement transactions from demand planning to delivery
Key Responsibilities

Manage and approve all procurement functions via LOGIS and ePS platforms
-
Oversee the entire supply chain process, from acquisition planning and drafting specifications to performance management and delivery tracking

Perform duties as an approver on ePS

Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures

Generate and submit accurate internal and external reports (IFS, AFS, audits)

Facilitate timely procurement of assets, medical consumables, and equipment

Liaise with end-users, service providers, and departments for effective procurement support

Promote efficient budget expenditure aligned with institutional goals

Contribute to the development and improvement of procurement systems
