ROLE OVERVIEW

DSV is searching for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join its Solutions Division in Kempton Park. This high-impact role will focus on developing customized logistics solutions for clients by handling pricing, cost modeling, data analysis, and warehouse process design. The successful candidate will collaborate with Sales, Commercial teams, and General Managers to drive business growth via Request for Quotations (RFQs) and strategic client engagement. This is a hands-on analytical and client-facing role that requires strong commercial acumen, technical precision, and operational knowledge of logistics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Solutions Design: Identify, evaluate, and develop tailored logistics solutions for existing and prospective clients.

• Costing Models:

  • Utilize DSV’s Solutions Costing Model to determine project feasibility and pricing.

  • Ensure all costing inputs are validated by supporting quotes from suppliers.

  • Incorporate AutoCAD, Power BI, and other tools for accurate solution designs.

• Data Analytics:

  • Manage, clean, and interpret large datasets to inform costing and resource decisions.

  • Conduct warehouse operation analysis to determine manpower and equipment needs.

• Supplier & Vendor Engagement:

  • Establish relationships with vendors (racking, MHE, sprinklers, IT systems) to source accurate pricing for solution components.

• Financial Modelling & ROI:

  • Prepare feasibility studies and business cases to support investment decisions.

  • Conduct ROI and cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions.

• Client Presentations:

  • Package and present proposals using PowerPoint and Word for client delivery.

  • Support sales team in technical and financial proposals for RFQs and RFPs.

• Operations & Commercial Reviews:

  • Evaluate actual operations against proposed solutions to measure performance, cost, and risk.

• Mechanisation Assessments:

  • Liaise with global mechanisation team to evaluate and align solutions with DSV’s automation standards.

• WMS Knowledge:

  • Understand warehouse management systems and their cost implications during solution development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Engineering

  • Business Administration or Commerce (with focus on Finance, Economics, or Operational Management)

  • Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pricing, costing, or similar analytical role

• Proficient in Advanced Excel, PowerQuery (beneficial), and MS PowerPoint

• Experience with AutoCAD is a strong advantage

• Proven ability to work with large datasets and deliver insightful financial models

• Knowledge of economics, accounting principles, and logistics operations

• Strong communication and client-facing skills

• Excellent time and project management capabilities

• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license required
