ROLE OVERVIEW
DSV is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to join their team in Port Elizabeth. This position is critical to supporting the branch’s new business development efforts and achieving monthly and annual sales targets. The ideal candidate will have experience in prospecting, securing new accounts, and managing client relationships within the transport and logistics sector.
This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in expanding DSV’s footprint in the region while delivering high-value solutions to clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sign new business in the distribution/logistics market for the Port Elizabeth branch

Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets through new business acquisition

Prospect for new clients and develop a qualified sales pipeline

Manage and maintain long-term client relationships
-
Ensure accurate monthly billing and financial reporting

Perform general administrative duties related to sales

Represent the DSV brand professionally in all client engagements
-
Provide weekly reports and market analysis to the Regional Sales Manager

Maintain client data and update the CRM system
-
Assist in tender and proposal preparation, presentations, and submissions
-
Create sustainable value by aligning DSV’s services with customer needs
-
Ensure successful implementation and communication of signed deals
-
Monitor and manage debtors’ days of signed clients
-
Collaborate with other departments to offer cross silo solutions
-
Mentor junior sales executives where applicable
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-
1–2 years’ experience in new business sales within the transport/logistics sector

Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets

Strong ability to prospect and close new business

Experience in tender management and sales reporting

Basic understanding of supply chains and logistics processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate level)

Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
