Role Overview
DSV is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Account Manager for Road Logistics in Nelspruit. This role is crucial in maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring retention, and driving business growth in the assigned territory. You will be the face of the company for existing clients, handling daily communication, resolving issues, identifying upselling opportunities, and delivering measurable value through continuous improvement initiatives. The right candidate will have a strong sales mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of logistics and distribution.

Key Responsibilities
As the Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to retain and grow the existing client base, ensuring customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities for revenue expansion. You will act as the main point of contact for your clients, manage queries, and work closely with operations, finance, and customer service teams to deliver integrated solutions. You’ll prepare and deliver client reports, manage KPIs, and support tender/proposal submissions. A critical part of the role involves maintaining accurate CRM records, prospecting new leads, and ensuring timely billing and collections in line with company policies. Your insights into competitors and industry trends will help steer strategic decisions and maintain DSV’s market leadership.

Qualifications and Experience
To qualify, candidates must have a Matric certificate (Grade 12) with a tertiary qualification being an added advantage. A minimum of 3 years of key account management or sales experience, preferably in the logistics or transport sector, is required. Candidates must be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and be comfortable working in a CRM system. Experience handling tenders, generating sales reports, and presenting performance data is essential. Strong administrative and organizational skills will help ensure success in this demanding and rewarding role.
