ROLE OVERVIEW
The IT Infrastructure Manager plays a central role in ensuring that Twizza’s digital backbone—its IT systems, servers, cloud infrastructure, and networks—operate smoothly, securely, and efficiently. This role demands not only deep technical expertise but also strategic thinking and leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing infrastructure strategies, maintaining compliance with cybersecurity regulations, and ensuring that IT systems are both scalable and aligned with the company’s objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure Strategy & Planning

Design and execute the IT infrastructure roadmap in alignment with business growth and strategic objectives

Lead infrastructure scalability initiatives and anticipate future technology needs

Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve system resilience and performance
Systems & Network Management
-
Oversee on-premises and cloud infrastructure including servers, networking equipment, firewalls, and VPNs

Ensure optimal system performance, availability, and reliability

Monitor infrastructure health and performance through regular audits and evaluations
Security & Compliance
-
Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols, disaster recovery strategies, and backup systems

Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards such as POPIA and GDPR

Conduct ongoing risk assessments and security reviews
Team Leadership & Vendor Oversight

Lead and mentor a skilled team of IT engineers and technicians

Manage service-level agreements (SLAs) with external vendors and ensure timely, high-quality service delivery

Collaborate across departments to support digital transformation initiatives
Budgeting & Procurement

Administer the IT infrastructure budget including procurement of hardware, software, and services

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising infrastructure performance or reliability
Asset & Inventory Management

Maintain a detailed asset register for IT equipment and software licenses

Ensure compliance with asset lifecycle policies and coordinate audits, redeployments, and warranties
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership position

Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform

Solid background in managing virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V), Windows and Linux servers, and enterprise networking

Familiarity with ITIL or COBIT frameworks is advantageous

Working knowledge of cybersecurity tools including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection
