ROLE OVERVIEW
The Inbound Clerk plays a crucial role in managing incoming stock and maintaining the integrity of our warehousing and financial systems. This position ensures all goods received are correctly recorded, quality-checked, and reconciled. Working closely with warehouse and supply chain teams, the Inbound Clerk supports efficient inventory flow and accuracy, ensuring all items are processed in compliance with safety and operational standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurately compare blind checks, system entries, and physical documentation to detect discrepancies

Process all goods receipts and returns, ensuring correct inspection and documentation

Resolve queries related to received goods including quantity, pricing, or quality discrepancies

Escalate unresolved issues to suppliers or senior management for timely resolution

Perform full reconciliation of incoming goods with delivery notes and purchase orders

Complete and distribute inbound movement and non-compliance reports

Maintain safety practices in line with company policies and warehouse standards

Actively participate in safety initiatives and team meetings

Attend regular coaching, training, and upskilling sessions

Support warehouse team in achieving operational KPIs
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
-
At least 2 years of experience in warehousing or logistics (preferably in FMCG)

Familiarity with inventory systems and basic financial reconciliation

Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is advantageous
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

Excellent written and verbal communication in English

High level of accuracy, data handling, and attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook

Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining quality and safety
