ROLE OVERVIEW
The General Worker will form an essential part of the logistics and production operations at DHL Global Forwarding’s Cape Town facility. The role is focused on the manufacturing of Vinliners, material handling, packaging, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the production and manufacturing of Vinliners in alignment with quality standards

Execute material handling, ground support, and packaging duties as required

Uphold housekeeping standards at assigned workstations
-
Ensure daily and hourly operational targets are met
-
Maintain and update documentation relevant to warehouse and production activities

Communicate equipment issues and report breakdowns to team leaders promptly
-
Wear appropriate PPE and ensure compliance with safety protocols
-
Support fire prevention measures and attend relevant fire training
-
Adhere strictly to all company rules, regulations, and corporate policies

Cooperate with various departments as needed to ensure seamless workflow
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-
Matric (Grade 12)
-
Vocational, Technical, or Specialized Certification (advantageous)

0–2 years experience in a warehouse or logistics environment

Basic understanding of safety protocols and equipment handling
-
Strong work ethic, team collaboration, and attention to detail
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks

Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines

Basic literacy and numeracy
