ROLE OVERVIEW
VKB Group is offering a 12-month contract opportunity for a motivated and inquisitive Quality Assurance Graduate to join its Information & Technology department in Reitz. This role is perfect for recent graduates interested in software testing and quality assurance within a complex enterprise environment. You’ll work alongside the Governance, Risk and Compliance unit, gaining hands-on experience in executing manual and automated testing aligned with the QA framework.
This is an entry-level contract position reporting to the QA Lead and ultimately the I&T Manager: Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand and apply the Software Quality Assurance methodology and framework

Participate in routine and project-based testing processes

Design and execute manual and automated test cases

Identify, log, and track software defects and inconsistencies

Perform trend analysis to identify recurring issues and root causes

Stay updated on industry best practices and quality assurance innovations

Attend structured training in QA methodologies and system functionalities

Prepare and present structured reports on assigned testing tasks

Provide excellent support to internal VKB departments and stakeholders

Enhance the reputation of the QA team through consistent, high-quality delivery
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Studies, or a related discipline

A strong mix of IT and commerce subjects is preferred

Analytical and problem-solving mindset
-
Basic understanding of programming and technology is advantageous

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans

Strong work ethic and commitment to high standards

Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team setting

Prior exposure to testing or IT-related projects will be advantageous
