This Quality Assurance Graduate role is based at the VKB Head Office in Reitz, Free State, within the dynamic Information & Technology (I&T) Department, specifically the Governance, Risk, and Compliance division.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Quality Assurance Graduate will be part of a high-performing QA team tasked with ensuring that software solutions meet quality standards before being rolled out to internal stakeholders and business units. This entry-level position, ideal for a recent graduate, offers exposure to both manual and automated software testing while learning best practices in quality control, systems analysis, and performance reporting.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity designed to offer real-world IT experience in one of South Africa’s leading agricultural businesses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Learn and apply the VKB Software Quality Assurance Methodology and Framework

Design and execute test cases for Business-As-Usual (BAU) and project-related releases

Track, log, and resolve defects to improve software functionality and user experience

Conduct root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and propose solutions

Continuously monitor quality indicators and suggest improvements
-
Participate in team training and knowledge sessions on QA principles and system functionality

Communicate testing progress to QA Leads and relevant stakeholders using structured reporting formats

Deliver excellent internal customer service to the broader VKB operational departments
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Studies, or a related field

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Interest in quality assurance, business processes, or IT governance
-
Familiarity with software systems and basic programming will be advantageous

Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
