ROLE OVERVIEW
The Learner Grain Grader role is designed for an entry-level candidate with a passion for agriculture and an eye for detail. This permanent position will expose the successful applicant to all aspects of grain grading, administration, and logistics in line with South African agricultural standards.
This is an on-the-job training opportunity with structured in-service learning. The learner will be expected to complete relevant grading certifications and support the full grain intake and dispatch process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Take and prepare grain samples for analysis in line with regulatory procedures
-
Grade grain according to statutory regulations and VKB internal protocols
-
Assist in the documentation and processing of incoming and outgoing grain deliveries
-
Perform job-related administrative functions related to grain quality control
-
Handle client communication and resolve grading or delivery disputes professionally
-
Ensure the accurate recording of grain qualities and maintain traceability records
-
Pass all compulsory grain grading courses during the in-service training phase
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-
Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification
-
Basic computer literacy (MS Office proficiency preferred)

Administration or data capturing background is advantageous
-
Prior experience in the agriculture or grain handling sector is beneficial
-
Willingness to complete formal in-service grading training and certification
-
Must have a clear criminal record and provide traceable references
