ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently hiring 20 General Workers to join our Cape Town Distribution Centre team. These roles are critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods across our supply chain network. Depending on your experience and qualifications, you may be placed in areas such as Receiving, Picking, Loading, Forklift/Reach Truck Operations, Cycle Counting, Auditing, or Combining. These permanent positions are ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and are looking to build a long-term career in logistics and retail support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful applicants will be assigned to specific warehouse roles based on their background and skills. Responsibilities may include:
General Worker:

Ensure damaged, expired, or overstocked inventory is returned to its correct location within the DC.

Support overall warehouse cleanliness and order maintenance.
Picker:
-
Select and prepare stock for distribution to stores based on picking slips.

Maintain speed and accuracy while ensuring quality control.
Cycle Counter:
-
Conduct routine inventory checks.
-
Update inventory systems to reflect accurate stock levels.
Forklift Driver:
-
Safely load and unload goods from trucks.
-
Move goods within the warehouse using a forklift (license required).
Reach Truck Driver:
-
Stack and retrieve stock from high racks using a reach truck (license required).

Maintain safety and equipment standards.
Auditor:
-
Inspect and verify orders before dispatch.
-
Check for product damages and correct expiry dates.
Combiner:
-
Consolidate stock on pallets and shrink-wrap for transport.
-
Ensure pallets are correctly labeled and ready for shipping.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-
Grade 12 / National Certificate (mandatory)
-
0–2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution centre

Valid Forklift or Reach Truck license for those applying to driver roles

Proficiency in Excel and basic computer skills

Ability to work day or night shifts, weekends (including Sundays), and public holidays
