Role Overview
G4S Cash Solutions is currently seeking a Branch Officer for its Vanderbijlpark branch. This position plays a key role in maintaining branch security, enforcing standard operating procedures, and supporting the branch manager in operational oversight. The role is best suited for an experienced security professional with proven capabilities in risk management, compliance, and leadership.
The Branch Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, vehicles, and cash-in-transit operations while maintaining operational readiness and effective incident response protocols.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular branch security evaluations and comprehensive risk assessments.

Oversee the functionality of security equipment including alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.

Maintain up-to-date registers for firearms, ID cards, visitors, and security incidents.

Enforce access control procedures and manage keyholder responsibilities in coordination with Tactical Support Officers.

Ensure the effective implementation of alarm reaction procedures and emergency responses.

Investigate incidents such as robberies, cash losses, or internal violations and report findings to Group Security within 24 hours.

Manage road checks, vehicle security systems, and safety protocols for high-risk routes.

Supervise Tactical Support Officers, ensuring adherence to company protocols and SOPs.

Provide operational leadership in the absence of the Branch Manager.

Oversee safety equipment maintenance and compliance with fire safety regulations.

Participate in internal safety forums, training sessions, and risk mitigation programs.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Valid South African driver’s license with PDP

PSIRA Grade B registration and CIT certification

Proven experience in branch security or risk control in a financial or logistics environment

Strong report writing and communication skills

Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to manage complex security systems and incident documentation
