Role Overview
The Armed Response Officer will be responsible for maintaining high visibility in residential and estate areas, responding promptly to emergencies, and ensuring the safety and security of clients and their properties. This role requires strong situational awareness, discipline, and adherence to Fidelity ADT’s operational standards and procedures. The successful candidates will be stationed within traveling distance of Soweto, Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities

Respond swiftly and professionally to alarm activations and emergency situations.

Conduct regular patrols in designated residential or estate areas.

Perform security assessments and risk analysis as required on-site.

Deter and prevent criminal activities through a strong security presence.

Complete daily activity and incident reports clearly and accurately.

Interact with residents and clients with a high level of professionalism and courtesy.

Ensure that all equipment, especially firearms, are handled and maintained with the highest level of care and responsibility.

Comply with Fidelity ADT operational procedures, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Qualifications and Experience

Matric (Grade 12) is mandatory.

Grade B PSIRA registered, including Response certification.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the security industry.

Firearm Competency Certificate – Handgun for Business Purposes.

Valid driver’s license is essential.

Proven experience in residential or estate security will be a strong advantage.

No criminal record and willing to undergo regular background and criminal checks.

Basic computer literacy is an added advantage.

Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
