Role Overview
Maersk is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to join its frontline warehouse team in Cape Town. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all warehouse operations are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and quality protocols. You will be responsible for picking, packing, handling, and inventory movement, playing an integral part in customer satisfaction and supply chain integrity.
Key Responsibilities

Pick and pack orders according to company and client requirements

Handle products carefully to prevent damage and ensure quality

Operate RF scanners to track inventory movements and order processing

Assist in loading and unloading shipments

Replenish stock and support internal inventory organization

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions from the Team Leader

Maintain Warehouse 5S Standards and cleanliness protocols

Report inventory discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors

Consistently adhere to health and safety guidelines

Participate in team-based tasks to meet productivity targets

Work flexible shifts including weekends and overtime as needed
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
-
Previous warehouse experience preferred

Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a strong advantage

Familiarity with RF scanning devices

Basic math, reading, and writing skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and carry as needed

Flexible availability, including weekends and overtime shifts
