Role Overview
Servest is currently recruiting a reliable and experienced Driver to join the Operations team within the Cleaning Business Unit, based in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will report directly to the Branch Manager and will be responsible for transportation services, including the delivery and collection of hygiene equipment, consumables, and chemicals to and from various client sites. The ideal candidate is punctual, customer-focused, and committed to safety and service standards.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily delivery and collection of hygiene units to and from client locations.

Ensure that all services scheduled for the day are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Deliver cleaning consumables and chemicals to various Servest client sites, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with company and industry policies.

Operate the vehicle in full compliance with the Road Traffic Act, maintaining safe driving practices at all times.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or concerns immediately.

Ensure that the assigned company vehicle is clean, maintained, and regularly serviced.

Build and maintain good relationships with clients and internal teams through professional conduct and communication.

Complete all relevant delivery documentation and obtain required client signatures.

Maintain clear records of delivery schedules and confirm service completion daily with the Operations Team.

Report any delivery challenges or route delays promptly to management.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 qualification.

2–3 years of driving experience in a professional setting.

Proven experience working in the Cleaning or Facilities Management industry is advantageous.

Valid South African Driver’s License with PDP (Professional Driving Permit).

A clean driving record and clear criminal background check are essential.

Excellent knowledge of Johannesburg road routes and traffic regulations.

Strong troubleshooting and basic problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to manage time effectively and deliver under pressure.

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

High level of responsibility, honesty, and reliability.
