Role Overview

The Parts Sales Executive will play a critical role in ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining the efficiency of the parts sales operation. This position requires a professional with strong automotive knowledge, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to manage transactions accurately and courteously. From assisting customers and staff with part identification to maintaining stock control and handling administrative tasks, the successful candidate will be an integral part of Hyundai Centurion’s service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately identify and supply parts required by customers and internal departments using the parts catalogue and computer-based stock list

• Conduct all customer interactions with professionalism and courtesy

• Ensure parts are stored properly, safely, and in optimal condition

• Manage the receipt, inspection, and proper placement of incoming stock from suppliers

• Implement appropriate discount structures as per company policies

• Assist with all aspects of stock control, including issuing parts only with appropriate authorization and monitoring usage

• Ensure accurate invoicing and secure handling of payments, cheques, and credits

• Support company staff in locating, identifying, and replacing required parts

• Keep parts documentation and catalogues updated and organized

• Maintain effective communication with the Parts Manager on stock levels and any irregularities

• Assist with staff training and development in the parts department

• Participate in marketing and promotional activities related to parts sales

• Ensure all transactions comply with Hyundai’s policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-3 years of experience as a Parts Sales Executive or similar role in the automotive industry

• Prior experience with automotive stock systems and part identification tools

• Matric (Grade 12) is beneficial

• Basic understanding of vehicle layout and part function

• Familiarity with stock control systems, tools, and procedures

Skills and Personal Attributes

• Strong knowledge of automotive parts and components

• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal

• Strong numerical and clerical skills for invoice, stock, and payment accuracy

• High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

• Good problem-solving ability and a helpful attitude towards colleagues and customers

• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality service

• Computer literate, with experience in automotive software systems

• Customer-focused with a passion for delivering excellent service

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Trustworthy and dependable in handling payments and stock
