Role Overview
Hollywoodbets is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Business Partner to join their HR Team based in Umhlanga, Durban. In this role, you’ll lead key human resources functions across various departments while driving strategic initiatives, compliance, and talent development. You will serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership and managers, helping to align HR strategies with overall business goals and supporting a thriving, people-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with department managers to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals.

Manage a team of HR professionals and oversee day-to-day HR operations and implementation of national initiatives.

Enhance recruitment processes to ensure the acquisition of top talent and effective onboarding experiences.

Guide job role clarity and performance expectations across all levels of the business.

Implement and monitor effective performance management systems to ensure ongoing feedback and development.

Facilitate succession planning, talent mapping, and individual development plans (IDPs) in collaboration with the training team.

Ensure consistent application of employee relations policies in accordance with group procedures.

Monitor key HR metrics (e.g. turnover, disciplinary trends, recruitment stats) and provide actionable insights.

Champion employee retention strategies and identify proactive solutions to workforce challenges.

Oversee offboarding procedures, exit interviews, and analysis of exit data.

Enforce risk management protocols including background checks, polygraph tests, and internal employment restrictions.

Drive Employment Equity (EE) compliance and coordinate national EE meetings.

Propose and assist with the rollout of employee recognition programs, wellness campaigns, and company values initiatives.

Coordinate and manage internship placements and onboarding within the business.

Regularly update and implement HR policies and procedures in line with business and regulatory needs.

Lead or support various HR-related ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Minimum Requirements

Proven supervisory experience in a Human Resources or generalist HR role.

A valid Driver’s License is essential due to national coordination responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications

A relevant Human Resources qualification or degree will be an advantage.

Strong understanding of HR legislation, recruitment best practices, and organisational design.

Previous experience in fast-paced environments such as retail, entertainment, or gaming sectors is beneficial.
