Role Overview

The successful candidate will act as a trusted financial partner to clients by delivering expert guidance on Liberty’s life assurance, risk cover, and investment offerings. Through a consultative sales approach, the Financial Advisor will identify financial goals, recommend fit-for-purpose solutions, and foster long-term client relationships. This role demands both strategic thinking and practical sales expertise, as well as the ability to deliver service excellence in a competitive industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer financial advice tailored to clients’ evolving life, risk, and investment needs

  • Conduct client needs analyses and identify appropriate Liberty benefit packages

  • Build and manage a pipeline of potential clients through lead generation and referrals

  • Provide consistent client engagement and portfolio reviews to assess changing needs

  • Ensure compliance with Liberty internal policies, FAIS regulations, and other legal requirements

  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, market trends, and financial legislation

  • Participate in community outreach and formal/informal presentations to expand client reach

  • Complete and maintain detailed records and accurate administrative documentation

  • Report regularly to management and team leaders on performance metrics and sales progress

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric / Grade 12 is essential

  • FAIS-recognized qualification to be completed within 6 years of DOFA (as per FSCA requirements)

  • Prior face-to-face or telephonic sales experience is advantageous

  • Knowledge of financial services, insurance products, or investment portfolios is desirable

  • Access to a laptop or tablet is a requirement for the role
