The iMas Insurance Brokers division is now recruiting a dynamic Financial Advisor to join the FAS South Gauteng unit and serve clients in the Vanderbijlpark area. Role Overview

The Financial Advisor will play a critical role in marketing life assurance and funeral policies, conducting needs-based financial assessments, and maintaining relationships with both new and existing clients. Success in this role requires a high level of self-discipline, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet performance targets through personalized financial service delivery.

This position is particularly suited for an energetic and motivated sales professional with experience in financial products who thrives in a target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell life assurance and funeral policies tailored to individual and family needs

  • Conduct comprehensive client needs analyses to recommend suitable financial solutions

  • Proactively follow up on leads, build a reliable client pipeline, and drive consistent conversion

  • Provide ongoing service and support to existing policyholders, including updates and policy reviews

  • Ensure compliance with FSCA regulations and maintain high standards of record-keeping

  • Conduct quality control checks on all new business to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Educate clients on the value and benefits of financial planning, risk cover, and long-term investment

  • Work closely with the sales manager to meet monthly and quarterly sales goals

  • Represent the company professionally within the Vanderbijlpark community and surrounding areas

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric / Grade 12 is essential

  • FAIS credits on NQF level 4 as required by the FSCA

  • RE5 certification is mandatory in accordance with FSCA legislative requirements

  • At least 1 year of proven sales experience, preferably in financial services, life insurance, or funeral cover

  • A valid driver’s license and own vehicle (advantageous but not required)

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • High attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive client documentation

  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to overcome objections

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Confident, self-motivated, and able to work independently

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-centric mindset

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Familiarity with insurance industry practices, products, and regulations
