Role Overview
RCL Foods is on the lookout for exceptional graduates to join its Management Trainee Programme: Commercial (CIMA). This exciting development initiative is located in Mpumalanga, specifically at the sugar manufacturing plants in Malelane, Komati, or Pongola. The programme is targeted at young professionals pursuing or holding a degree in Management Accounting or Accounting and who are aiming to qualify as CIMA professionals.
Participants will gain practical financial and operational experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, with exposure to real-time data, business analytics, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

Engage in cost accounting and financial analysis within sugar manufacturing operations

Prepare management reports and support strategic planning with data-driven insights

Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Assist in developing pricing strategies and cost-saving initiatives

Collaborate with finance and operational teams to improve commercial performance

Lead special projects focused on efficiency, sustainability, and profitability

Attend structured training and mentorship sessions aligned with the CIMA framework

Be open to relocating and rotating between key production facilities as part of the learning journey
Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Completed or in the final year of study for one of the following:

BCom Management Accounting
-
BCom Accounting
-
BCom Honours in Management Accounting

South African citizenship or permanent residency
-
Solid academic performance in major subjects during 2nd and 3rd years

Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

A valid South African driver’s license (preferred)

Demonstrated interest in finance, commercial strategy, and manufacturing

High levels of initiative, analytical thinking, and adaptability
